Winter Sports Moisture Absorbers

Winter Sports Moisture Absorbers

We’re very excited to announce our latest launch! The new Winter Sports Moisture Absorbers are our fantastic super absorbent, silica-stuffed fabric bananas. With rapid drying technology, there is no need for heat or electricity!

Specially designed to absorb moisture from your wet footwear and equipment, our new invention can dry footwear in as little as 4 to 6 hours; absorbing up to 40% of their weight in moisture. You don’t need to worry about damaging your footwear, either, as they dry without heat: completely removing the risk of damage. Unlike our Original Shoe Deodorisers, these Boot Bananas are fragrance free. Don’t fret, however, as they still help prevent odours! Made to fit into pretty much any boot, shoe, glove or any other wet winter gear, this product features a handy adjustable leash so you can hang them inside your wet jackets to speed up the drying process.

So, you’re a keen snowboarder. You’ve been shredding hard all day (Don’t we wish we were you!) and your boots are filled with melting snow. Just place your Winter Sports Moisture Absorbers inside your soaking boots and voila! they’re dry 4-6 hours later. Maybe you’ve had a day on the water wakeboarding and your wetsuit needs to dry ready for tomorrow’s session? Hang up the Absorbers inside the cuffs of your wetsuit and watch it dry; you can be safe in the knowledge you’ll be out there again the next day in your suit!

So how do I make sure I’m using them right?

For wet shoes or boots just place the Absorbers inside. Push them all the way to the toes of the footwear, then give them a light shake to evenly distribute the silica beads and let them work their magic. If footwear is not soaking wet then they can dry in as little as 4-6 hours!

If your footwear has taken the brunt of the elements and is extremely wet use the following technique for the best way to dry your wet gear:

Remove insoles and soak up excess moisture with newspaper, towel or a sponge before inserting Absorbers and leaving overnight to dry.

The Absorbers can easily be part regenerated by drying them in the sun, on a radiator, or even in the oven for 1 – 2 hours no higher than 110ºC (230ºF). Once dry and cool, place them back in their packaging and reseal to ensure they are ready when you need them next. Use the oven method to fully regenerate and for optimum performance regenerate often.
