Banana Care
Regenerate these Boot Bananas by drying them in the sunshine, on a radiator or in the oven for 1 – 2 hours (no higher than 110°C ). Do not allow contact with heating elements or flames. Once dry, place back in the pack and reseal. For optimum performance, regenerate regularly and they can last for multiple years.
Recycle Me
Store your Boot Bananas in this airtight packaging to keep them fresh. To dispose of this packaging when no longer useful, take it to supermarkets or retailers with a collection point for flexible plastic packaging and carrier bags.

For completely soaking wet footwear you may need to give these inserts a little extra help by removing insoles, tipping out excess water and dabbing dry the worst of the moisture with a towel or sponge. Then inserting a set of fully regenerated boot drying bananas to work their magic.
Follow your usual wetsuit care routine after use, then hang to dry as normal. After approximately 1-2 hours, wring the leg cuffs again and insert a banana into each leg, attached together with the leash sitting in the gusset. Adjust leash so each banana sits in an ankle cuff.
These drying bananas have no defined lifespan, essentially they can keep on being regenerated and used over and over again. A small reduction in efficiency may occur over time but is nominal. You can replace when discoloured and a freshen up is required or if the inserts become damaged.
Regenerate regularly and keep in an airtight container when not in use, such as the packaging provided or an alternative ziplock bag. Avoid contact with mud. Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent or white wine vinegar if required. Do not submerge these inserts.
This product is made with a natural fibre fabric cotton banana ‘skin’ outer. It is prone to discolouration over time from mildew, or mud. To avoid this, do not use with footwear that is contaminated with mildew or mud. Any discolouration caused is aesthetic and will not reduce the function of these inserts.
Replace if damaged or when you want to treat your footwear to a fresh pair.
Carefully over a bin, snip the top handle off with scissors. Empty the silica beads into the waste and dispose at landfill. Recycle or compost the cotton bananas skin. Re-purpose or recycle the solid nylon buckles and polyester webbing.
These inserts are portable, but are on the heavy side at 1kg when regenerated and 1.4kg once fully saturated. Great for travelling by road, helpful to have at basecamp, or next to a race track, but not exactly back pack friendly for leg powered excursions. When taking on a flight bring along the packaging pouch to keep fresh and to show information to TSA or passport control during luggage checks.
No, currently this is a one size fits most product. It’s the biggest of our inserts but also has a looser fill that allows the active mineral beads in the banana to flow into most size shoes and boots. This product might not fit in some smaller children’s shoe sizes. In smaller adult size shoes the bananas may stick out of the top of shoes, this will not effect performance.
If these inserts don’t work it means they are saturated and need a full regeneration, following the banana care oven steps to fully regenerate, and then store in an airtight container till needed.

I bought these as an early xmas gift for my Landlady, who takes the dogs on 2x walks a day and complains about damp boots. I once had similar products and they were a Godsend when in the Army. My Landlady loves them. She prefers to leave them on the bathroom radiator to “recharge” in winter, which we agree is safer than using the oven or microwave. No more cold or damp boots!
